first song off our new album.

Thanks to Frank Rosaly for recording my first ever solo drum performance. This piece was recorded at Deagan Music as a part of the Experimental Artist Series. The 9th installment of the series was dedicated to solo drumming and it was an honor to open for Frank Rosaly, Tim Daisy, and St. Louis drummer Alberto Patino.

CHARTSSSS first performance as new trio and first time this song was ever played for anyone.

Here’s some blurry photos of the first printed and stapled Engines of Fortitude #2! It’s looking it’s gonna be assembled tomorrow at this point. So stoked! By the way graphite pencil is not photo copier friendly so don’t make the mistake that I did, USE A PEN/Marker/PAINT Brush/AnYtHiNg but PENCIL.

This is so neat.

Prepping for Chicago Zine Fest

This is the first photo I ever took. I took it with a 1978 Nikon FE. That camera is currently at Central Camera getting repairs and the original 50mm Nikon brand (not Nikkor) is getting cleaned and lubed. I’m so stoked.
I’m also posting this to announce that I am moving my annual photo series (This week in Pictures) to Tumblr in hopes to share with more people. It’s currently on Journaling site www.billtucker.wordpress.com.
This Week in Pictures spans photos that I have taken everyday and posted in week batches to show connection and disconnection, theme and mood, etc. This year will be the third year of the series. I am excited to announce that I will not be taking digital photos this year but I will using the Nikon FE. So it may take longer to post each week’s set but hopefully the results will be closer to what I am going for.
The series will start on March 1st and end on April 30. Images will be posted as soon as they are processed and scanned and sometimes the series actually see’s it’s completion in late May or Early June. I am expecting a longer series this year due to film development and choosing the best photos from each roll.
To see the first year of the series please go here:

The beginning is weaker than the ending because I was able to learn tricks with the camera to create more interesting photos.
To see the second year:

I find the 2nd year more satisfying in the way that it wasn’t about learning the camera anymore, it was mostly about what I was moved by.
Make sure to come back in March and see the beginnings of the 3rd installment, and some new material from the new 3 piece Bill Tucker and Friends.
